She’s an alien whose home world doesn’t even know she exists.

He just inherited a planet, and now he’s running from it.

She has spent a lifetime hiding in plain sight.

He wants to escape the spotlight.

Her touch can heal.

His wounds are deep.

Two hearts, two planets collide. It’s the perfect union.

Except the part where the world’s about to end.

What I liked: I liked how the author marked the differences the aliens of the story have, even if they look human. Palta herself was an interesting character to follow as the story paned out. Seeing her devotion to both her father and her sister was a nice touch and gave something to connect to the character. She even helped Eric as soon as she realized that he wasn’t exactly who she thought he was, and that lead to Palta learning things she may never have known otherwise.

What I didn’t like: I thought that the feelings between both Palta and Eric were rushed a bit to me, even if I thought their romance was nice. Sometimes

Overall Review: This was a really good story that kept me interested and entertained for a good majority of the story. While it did have a few slow points they really didn’t detract too much from the overall flow of the story.

Recommend?: If you like sci-fi and are looking for a new series to start on I suggest that you try this one!

No matter the planet, Palta Capal is an alien.

She’s lived a lifetime where she never belonged…but relocating to the “home world” she’s never seen has her feeling more like an outsider than ever.

Teetering between the thrill of newfound love and the despair of family loss–not to mention the looming threat of global war–Palta doesn’t need any more excitement in her life.

But what she needs and what she gets are two entirely different things.

What I liked: This book picks up right where Proximity left off, with Palta returning to her species home world with Aeron (Eric) in tow. I got to learn more about the Onontian people and the planet in general in this book, and it was things that I wanted incorporated into the story so it feels more like a real planet that has been occupied for thousands of years. The little pieces that come together about the Onontian were pieces that fit into the story and gave insight to what is going on on the planet. The romance between Palta and Aeron is still present and still not very big in the plot, but there were moments between the two that I really liked. Of course, we get meet other people like Palta and Aeron and I really like their parts in the story as well.

What I didn’t like: I expected the romance to be a bit more of the plot in this one. Not a big part, but since those two came together in the first book and are now on their home planet I was expecting them to have more chemistry and focus a little more on each other but it felt like it stayed in line with the first book more than anything.

Overall Review: There aren’t many backfalls to this series so far, but the parts that I do like are parts that count and what I’m enjoying about this series overall so far. The danger in this book really ramps up with the threat of the existence of their species on the line as they try and stop the threat. The inclusion of other members of their species as well as different things about the planet and their people also helped because it was nice to see those sorts of things.

Recommend?: If you enjoyed the first book I recommend that you try this one out!

Vitality (Proximity #3)

Palta learned long ago not to expect a “normal” life. She’d settle for one free of close encounters with supernaturally-gifted homicidal maniacs.

Apparently that’s too much to ask.

Join your favorite Onontian royal family, as they settle into life at the palace…only don’t get too comfortable, because things are about to take a hair-raising turn.

Vitality is the gripping third installment in the Proximity series.

What I liked: I feel like the romance in this one picked up to where I was expecting it, and the cast itself seemed to flesh out and become even more dynamic than they were in the last book as everything comes together. Aeron and Palta both are great characters and the inclusion of Nangi in the second book was one of my favorite addition to this series, he’s a great character. I learned even more about the Onontian people, language included which was great because I was hoping to learn as much as I could before this series ended. It was also full of action and adventures (to other planets even) and still managed to wrap this series up incredibly well.

What I didn’t like: I can’t really think of anything right off the bat because this story managed to engross me with its story that I wasn’t looking for anything to be picky about anymore.

Overall Review: This was a great conclusion to a series I wasn’t so sure about but each book after the first upped the stakes and managed to pull off a great overarcing plot as well as the smaller plots presented in each book. Plus I learned a good deal about the Ononti and who they were as well as meet some great secondary characters that I really enjoyed!

Recommend?: If you really enjoyed the first two books, you’ll definitely want to pick up the ending to see how it all goes down!

About the Author

A. George is part proud mother of two adorable children, part super top secret agent…Oops, probably just lost that job.

Writing is what keeps her up into the wee hours of the night.  Fortunately, she has a lot of energy (Read: caffeine is her friend).  She has a bit of an obsession with music (It does a fantastic job of tuning out rambunctious children while she attempts to focus).

She sincerely hopes people out there enjoy reading her work as much as she enjoys writing it.  And if anyone hears of work for a super top secret agent, she’s now available (Discretion guaranteed…).
